Color Coded Corral

I finally bit the bullet and got my class color coded. I divided them up into five strategic groups, strategic in that they are combinations of personalities least likely to hurt each other that work best together. Each group is assigned a color and I never knew how helpful this system could be. For work time, each group has a leader for the day. The leader heads up the line for the group, is in charge of bringing lunch baskets in and out, and grabbing tubs of materials to distribute for work time.

Here are said tubs and it is saving sooo much time to have these organized and ready to go every morning. The less this class has to wait around for work time to start, the better. Trouble brews during our "down time" so putting a leader to work for the team helps this process immensely.

Color coding materials means we always know where they go. Lunches go in color coded baskets and we never lose our lunchbox. Name cards are colored so we only have to look at five cards to find our name. If you haven't color coded your class, DO IT. It looks great and it works.
